Get Relief from Depression Without Taking a Pill! TMS Therapy in Verona
Many people with depression respond well to standard treatments, such as medication and lifestyle changes, but these treatments don’t work for everyone. If you’ve tried these treatments and are still suffering, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) may offer some relief. Hope Peace Recovery Treatment Centers (HPRTC) offers this depression treatment in Verona, New Jersey.
HPRTC’s Verona office represents a partnership with the Trinitas-St. Joseph’s Behavioral Health Network. According to Ben Klein, founder and CEO of HPR Treatment Centers, “This partnership allows us to work with two of the leading medical institutions in the state to provide a comprehensive continuum of care to treat those suffering from depression.”
With 2,150,000 sessions provided to over 65,000 people, TMS therapy has a proven track record of success, and could help you break free from depression.
What Is TMS?
TMS therapy is a non-invasive and drug-free treatment for depression. In a TMS therapy treatment session, a magnetic field is used to stimulate the prefrontal cortex of the brain. This helps brain cells function more effectively to regulate your mood.
When you have TMS therapy at HPRTC, a technician places an electromagnetic coil gently on your head. When they turn the device on, the coil sends magnetic pulses to your prefrontal cortex. This helps your brain regulate your moods and alleviate your depression.
TMS therapy is a highly effective depression treatment, as our patient testimonials show.

How is TMS Different from Other Depression Treatments?
TMS therapy is different from other depression treatments because:
1. It’s Drug-Free.
This makes it a good option for people who:
- Don’t fully benefit from anti-depressants
- Can’t tolerate the side effects of medication
- Don’t want to take anti-depressants
Anti-depressants help many people, but not everyone can or wants to take them. TMS therapy offers an alternative to get relief from depression.
2. It’s Non-Invasive.
Other depression treatments, such as deep brain stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, and electroconvulsive therapy, are drug-free. However, these involve invasive surgery or unpleasant procedures, and require anesthesia.
TMS is different because it’s non-invasive, as well as drug-free.
3. It’s Almost Side-Effect Free.
Fewer than 5% of patients stop having TMS therapy because of side effects. For those patients, there’s a chance of discomfort at or near the treatment site during treatment. This discomfort usually stops after the first week of having TMS therapy.
